Last week we were very fortunate to host artist Harriet Goodall for two workshops up at the Farm Kitchen. One of them I wrote about last week and the other was a gorgeous morning of kids weaving.
We made little looms then had a morning tea of scones (from Lesley Russell’s recipe posted here a few months ago) and beautiful Lemon Myrtle and Kadadu Plum Milla Cordial.
After morning tea Hat had the kids weaving baskets and I couldn’t help joining in too. Each one of our five, six or seven-year-old participants finished a unique, bright basket that they were all so proud of and when their parents came at the end of our workshop we held a little exhibition then had sandwiches, watermelon and malted muesli bars (recipe just posted over here on my regular Village Voices slot).
I’m really keen to hold more creative workshops up at the Farm Kitchen – it’s such a great light and tranquil space – so please send through any suggestions and I’ll follow up!
Our next workshop is all about baking; Anneka Manning will come up from Sydney to teach her fantastic No Time to Bake Class on Tuesday, November 19.
