Hello hello! It’s all happening and I can’t quite believe it – my book A Basket by the Door is edging ever closer to publication day (April 1 ) and to celebrate, I’m organising a bunch of dinners, chats, workshops, events all over the place. Basket by the Door Workshop at the Sonic
My book is all about gifts and gatherings to comfort and cheer, so in this fun mini workshop I’ll share some tips and ideas for making your care packages as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. Cost includes the workshop, a copy of the book, a few glasses of bubbles and a gorgeous little styling kit. Fun.

Saturday 13 April, Orange Farmers Market ‘Chefs Table’
I’m so excited to be back at the Orange market (we used to have a stall here with our venison some years ago) to cook a few dishes from the book at the market’s ‘chefs table’.

Come along and have a chat and a scone (we are right opposite the CWA stand!) about the book, the RAS Foundation’s community grants program and anything else! If you just want a nice spot to sit and have a quiet chat in the middle of the busy show, I’ll be there waiting for you! I’ll be selling and signing my book ($5 from every copy goes to the Foundation) and also the Ag Bags which are a fabulous collection of Australian-made and owned goodies and all profits go to the Foundation too.

Shoot and share the beset of Autumn; a mini workshop with Asia Upward and Sophie Hansen
Spend an afternoon learning to shoot beautiful produce, food and lifestyle pics in one of the prettiest locations going; Logan Brae Orchard in Blackheath. We’ll be picking apples, Sophie will demonstrate making a gorgeous apple and marmalade cake from the book, plus a few other goodies, and we will shoot the whole process with guidance from Asia and Sophie (styling and photography), then set a long table in the orchard to share afternoon tea and have a good chat about best practises for sharing and boosting your pics on your social media and content marketing channels. And finish off with a glass of sparkling cider or bubbles with the stunning Megalong Valley in the distance. This workshop will be perfect for anyone wanting to sharpen their photography skills, learn some new ones, eat some nice cake and hang with nice people in a seriously nice place. My book is full of stories about how food brings us together and how the making and sharing of care packages can mean the world to friends and family doing it tough.
