A Basket by the Door postcard to celebrate another reprint of my book! Whoohoo!!

Naomi Bulger is a Melbourne-based illustrator, writer, creative coach and all round generous human being. She has been inspiring me, and her lovely big community with writing prompts, mail art and more for some years now and I’m one of her biggest fans – but never more so than today. Because today, Naomi sent me the below design.

She has turned the cover image on my book into a postcard and given all of us the PDFs of her design so we can print them out, paint or colour them in ourselves. Hurrah. What a lovely thing to do. Thank you Naomi.

And then – if feeling inspired to create a little mail art yourself, guess what, Naomi has created a A Basket by the Door printable postcard to paint or colour in and maybe keep for yourself, send with a copy of my book to a good friend or pop in the post with a cute note for a cute friend (here are some great letter writing prompts from Naomi).

I can’t think of a nicer way to celebrate the news received a couple of days ago from the team at Murdoch Books that my book has gone into it’s second reprint, third print in total – far out! This is all because lovely people like you have picked it up, cooked from it, given baskets inspired by it and bought copies from your friends. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

And thank you Naomi. And now I’ll stop gushing and start painting!
