It’s been a little quiet here lately – and I just wanted to jump in and explain why.
Some of you may have heard that I’m writing a new cookbook (yay!). It will be published in 2019 by Murdoch Books and I’m in absolute heaven writing, recipe testing and shooting my socks off to meet an April 2018 deadline (eek). This means that pretty much every new thing I shoot/bake/do these days is for the book which hasn’t left much time to create new content for this space, my online beating heart. That will change soon as I get a handle on the book content but for now, please be patient and don’t give up on Local is Lovely – it’s not going anywhere, just having a bit of quiet time.
Another reason why I’ve been quiet on the blog front is because I’m working on a new regular Monday newsletter called ‘5 things to be cheerful about this Monday’ – each one is full of links, ideas and good things to read, think about and do for the week. I’ll also be dropping in any news, workshop updates and other things in there from time to time so please consider signing up for this weekly missive. If you would like to see what these emails are all about before signing up, you can view the archive of recent posts here.
In the meantime, if you feel like a bit of Christmas cooking inspiration, you can download my Christmas baking e-book here – with 15 good things to bake and share. Thank you so much for your support and I hope you all have a very very happy and safe Christmas. Sophie x
