The Friday List
I admit to falling into a bit of a funk after looking at these pictures from Paris and Provence…wouldn’t it be nice to be there right now. Then I stumbled across this collection of snaps via Nicole Franzen’s blog of her recent trip to Tuscany and the funk deepened. Then I looked out the window at our own pretty hills and got a grip.
Love the food/flowers/styling/everything about this event. And am definitly going to be ‘borrowing’ that idea of hanging a menu. Gorgeous.
I am a touch obsessed with this blog about living on a flower farm just out of New York – such wonderful images and writing.
What do you bring to the table? I have a basic butter cake that always seems to pop up but might give it a rest this Autumn in favour of this beautiful apple cake.
Loved this peak into the home of one of my blog heroes Nicole of Herriott Grace, and now can’t wait to make this raspberry and apple crumble
Apple crumble for breakfast? Apparently if you call it a ‘granola crisp’ then it’s totally ok. Count me in.

On Pinterest and Instagram this week
Here’s a new little ‘element’ to today’s and possibly future Friday Lists; a few favourites from my travels around these two this week.
Babes in Boyland – babes_in_boyland
It’s one of my favourite blogs so of course their Instagram feed was always going to be awesome.
Mikarla Bauer – mikarla_bauer
After watching her in action at the Jumbled Workshop I wrote about this week, I have been an avid follower of lovely Mikarla Bauer. If beautiful flowers are your thing then her feed will be too.
Otis and Otto – otisandotto
The instagram feed of online store Otis and Otto is always way more than like-able. And the blog/store/website is fantastic too.
Pinterest
One of the greatest time waters of all…you can often duck over to Pinterest for a quick scroll while waiting for an email or phone call and find yourself still there or bouncing around the internet on links coming from there a good hour later.
Local Milk
I always want to pin pretty much everything Beth from Local Milk puts out there. She has a beautiful eye and her images seem to soar above everything else.
Sally Cheetham
Local lady Sally Cheetham is another of my favourite ‘Pinners’, she always finds the best food/fashion/rooms. Thanks Sal!
Oh, and by the way, my Instagram username is @locallovely

The grass is always greener, isn’t it? I’ve just arrived in Tuscany for a 3 month family visit and I look at the photos of your farm and sigh, “wouldn’t it be nice?”! Must plan a trip to one of your fantastic lunches when we’re back in the winter.

Oh, I don’t know, Sophie… that New York flower farm blog looks more like a set design for Miss Havisham. I found it bit depressing… stay with the farm in Orange, it’s much nicer, even in the snow!

Thanks Soph! I am a tiny bit addicted to Pinterest – I think it eases my shopping urges! Also, the photos of your latest kitchen lunches are stunning. Love the flowers! I can’t wait to try the biscotti recipe. x
