12 days of homemade Christmas presents Day 4, Nougat
I’ve been making nougat at Christmas for a few years now and even though it involves a sugar thermometer and quite a lot of washing up, it’s actually a fun thing to do/make. Promise.
I love how much people love receiving a bar of nougat all wrapped up nicely as a present. Also, that it lasts for several weeks and that one batch goes a long way.
There are two recipes I use and recommend; one via @nadineingram’s fabulous book Flour and Stone the other via SBS Food.
Always with some mix of nuts and dried fruit, in this case ginger, sour cherries and dark chocolate. Yum.
