It’s almost the long weekend! Whootwhoo. And it seems like winter has finally arrived here in Orange. Double whootwhoo. So if you have a moment over the three-day break for a bit of aimless web-wandering, a cup of tea and biscuit or two* by the fire; here are a few links I’ve liked this week. Oh, and if in Sydney tomorrow – please pop down to the Good Living Growers’ Market at Pyrmont. Tim will be there with our Mandagery Creek Venison and would love to see some friendly faces!
*These biccies above are the chocolate and walnut recipe from my book, originally posted on the blog last winter. They are my all time favourite biscuit recipe and on high rotation in these parts.
The Friday List
Armchair travel – off we go to Crete (PLEASE!!)
Aren’t these earl grey and vanille bean pastries beautiful!
I loved reading how Simple Provisions preps and roast veggies for a week’s worth of meals. Such a great idea.
This invisible kitchen does look incredible – but not sure I could (or would really want to) keep it that clean and tidy, even for five minutes…
A personalised, engraved rolling pin? Yes please – great idea for a present.
A creative cleanse is just what my head/computer/desk needs. Anyone else signing up?
I love everything about this gathering. Nothing too fancy; just simple food, a few jars of flowers, some fairy lights, good things to drink and fun people. Thanks to The Fresh Exchange for sharing!
And still on gatherings I’d like to crash; this wine and cheese fest via the Forest Feast looked pretty fun too…
Wombat Hill House looks like the perfect place to spend a winters afternoon…thanks for the introduction the Countryphiles!
Thank you so much to Clare at Checks and Spots for featuring me and the book on her wonderful blog this week!

Oh wow. The post on Check and Spots is so beautiful and your cake looks like I’m going to love it.
In my dream life, I host gatherings like The Fresh Exchange one each weekend. In my real life, I just read other people’s blog posts about them. That one is particularly casual and wonderful looking.
Also, thanks for sharing the link to the cleanse. I really appreciate that Sophie.
[and now I’ll conclude my unorganized thought pile–thanks]
