Last week I got to get on a plane and fly to Adelaide for the launch of Iris & Wool’s Autumn/Winter campaign (which includes two jumpers created in collaboration with me and the beautiful Emily of I&W). I’m wearing one of ‘our’ jumpers in the picture above, the raglan) and there’s also a v-neck style (here’s a pic of me in that below too!). They are the softest, loveliest wool, feel beautiful to wear and I love the pink colour with gold details on the cuffs and neckline.
But back to R-Adelaide.
It was wonderful not only to have the opportunity to go to the event in person, to support Emily and meet so many wonderful women at the event. But also to sit in an airport, go out for dinner and be somewhere completely new.
This was a flying visit but I had some Adelaide locals in charge of the itinerary and they nailed it! So if you’re heading there anytime soon here’s my lightening round of where to stay, eat and drink while in town. Of course this is a tiny drop in the ocean of great options that Adelaide has on offer but it’s my drop so here goes…
Sho Sho – very funky, very delicious contemporary Japanese cuisine. Loved the whole vibe, great service and VERY yummy cocktails.
For breakfast or lunch
Bloom – the wood-fired oven is the heart of this fabulous cafe in old tram barn. Such an interesting menu, beautiful coffee and the roasted chocolate granola I had for breakfast was so delicious I can’t stop thinking about how to recreate it home.
Great spot for a drink before or after dinner – they have those cool Enomatic machines where you can try lots of different drops, tasting amounts, small or regular sized pours.
I loved my two nights at the absolutely beautiful Ms Evelyns BNB. The heritage home has been beautifully restored and attention to detail is spot on in every corner. Can’t recommend highly enough! Would be great for a family or group of friends.
Here are a few pics of Ms Evelyns (more on their website gallery). And below, a bit of a gallery from the Iris and Wool event by the crazy talented Alysha Sparks who not only painted a beautiful collection of pieces for this event but is also a photographer with such a great eye for colour, emotion and movement.
